Everything you need to know to set up and use Darteer's automatic dart scoring. From initial setup to advanced features, this guide will help you get the most accurate results.
Getting Started
1. Download the App
Download Darteer from the App Store (iOS 17+) or Google Play (Android 8+). No additional hardware is required - just your smartphone!
2. Position Your Phone
Mount your phone 2-4 feet (60-120 cm) from your dartboard using any standard phone mount or tripod. The app includes a setup guide to help you find the perfect angle and distance.
3. Calibrate
Launch the app and follow the automatic calibration process. Our AI will detect your dartboard and configure itself for optimal accuracy. The whole setup takes less than 2 minutes.
Playing Games
Game Variations
Darteer supports all popular dart games including 501, 301, Cricket, Around the Clock, and many more. Select your preferred game from the main menu.
Multiplayer
Play locally with up to 10 players, challenge AI opponents, or compete online against others. Add players before starting a game, and Darteer will automatically track individual statistics and scores for everyone.
Multi-Device Mode
Connect a second phone as a dual camera for enhanced detection precision, or use it as a remote controller. Perfect for improving accuracy or managing games from a distance.
Automatic Scoring
Simply throw your darts as usual. Darteer's advanced computer vision instantly detects where each dart lands with 98% accuracy and updates scores automatically.
Tips & Best Practices
Optimal Positioning
For best results, position your phone so the entire dartboard is visible in the camera view. Avoid extreme angles that make segments hard to distinguish.
Lighting Conditions
Darteer works in various lighting conditions, but even, bright lighting produces the best results. Avoid direct shadows on the dartboard and minimize glare from windows or bright lights.
Offline Play
Darteer works completely offline - all processing happens on your device. You only need internet for initial setup and syncing data across devices.
Troubleshooting Detection
If dart detection isn't accurate, try repositioning your phone, adjusting the lighting, or recalibrating. Make sure the dartboard is clean and darts are fully inserted into the board.
Analytics & Progress
Performance Statistics
Darteer tracks detailed statistics including accuracy, consistency, average scores, and improvement over time. View your stats after each game or in the analytics section.
Track Your Improvement
Monitor your progress with historical data and trend analysis. See which areas of the board you hit most accurately and identify opportunities for improvement.
Data Security
Your data is encrypted and stored securely on your device. You can export or delete your data at any time. We never share personal information with third parties.
